Hehe, I've been a little sleepy lately, but rest assured, there's something brewing behind those nerdy glasses.
My pineapple tidbit of wisdom today is this: When in digestive doubt, ditch dairy. Haha, ok now for the real one;
I had an amazing session with my coach (Simone Goudreau, who is training with the fabulous mind-body coach Abigail Steidley) the other day, and one of the things she did with me that I'm now incorporating into my day is a grounding exercise. This can be used anytime, but particularly when you feel out of sorts, "off", tired, grumpy, or tense. This is a quick way for you to connect with your deepest self, and to savour the present moment. 1. Notice your breathing. Feel the air move in and out of your nostrils. Notice the temperature of the air. 2. Begin to deepen your breathing and start to invite the breath to go into your belly. 3. Bring your attention to the bottom of your feet, keep it there for a few breaths. 4. Next, focus on the palms of your hands. Stay there for a few breaths. 5. Relax your tongue. Imagine that it's floating in your mouth. (this is what really did it for me)
I don't know what it is, but this exercise gets me to that place, that peaceful, connected place, almost immediately. Try it, it works!
