Wedding Planning Part 2

I've started designing our invitations. At first I thought I'd get someone to do it for us, but why would I let someone else do the most fun part of wedding planning? Since I discovered I'm about 10 years of practice behind where I'd like to be when it comes to painting, I've switched over to digital art. Photoshop and Illustrator are my new canvases and I love it. I can get lost for hours clicking and dragging and experimenting.

I'm trying to imitate an old parchment paper for the background of the invitations. After that I'll try to mimic a watercolour effect to paint some trees and things on the outer edges, and then I'll choose the font! Oh the delight. Here's a sneak peak. This is all I will be able to show you, however, because I don't want to spoil the surprise for the people who will be invited.

The thing I'm not so sure about is when to send the blooming things out to people. And every time I google wedding planning things, I get grumpy and anxious. So I will likely get some carrier pigeons, attach the invitations to their feet a week before the wedding, and hope for the best.
